He is a writer, editor, trainer, and consultant in the areas of small groups, leadership, and discipleship. He is the author of more than 25 books and small group studies, including his latest, World's Greatest Small Group (pub. January, 2017). He regularly blogs on his ministry website at SmallGroupLeadership.com. His family is a small group that includes his wife Heidi, their four children, and their dog, Lainey. Mike is also an avid mountain biker.
A school in Kansas recently cancelled their Operation Christmas Child shoebox campaign because of complaint filed by The Freedom From Religion Foundation, a group which advocates for atheists, agnostics, and non-theists.
"I thought a mom who used drugs when she was pregnant must not love her child," says Christina Dent, "[but then] I saw this mother who loved her son just as much as I loved my three sons, this fierce love, this desperate desire to do the right thing."
