Charisma magazine told the story this week of Pattie Mallette, the mother of Canadian pop superstar Justin Bieber, who is asking his multitudinous fans to pray for his well-being as his popularity continues to increase. In the article, Mallette said she was sure that their family was following God’s plan for their lives and said she was fully aware how accountable she is to God for his protection, “which includes covering him spiritually,” she added. Bieber travels with a pastor, a Christian tutor and a faith advisor when he’s on tour. Mallette says Bieber’s faith “is strong, but he’s young and hasn’t come completely into himself yet. So what I can do is pray, teach, and continue to surround him with strong Christian influences.” Bieber’s new film now playing in theaters, Justin Bieber: Never Say Never, shows a scene of him saying grace before a meal and praying before a sold-out performance at Madison Square Garden.
