CNN’s BeliefBlog told the story this week of David Ray, a Presbyterian pastor who opened a drive-in movie theater-like church in Lucas, Texas. Called Sanctuary Under the Sky, the church meets in a high school parking lot, and attendees listen to the sermon in their cars on their radios. Ray says its an outreach effort much like Jesus meeting outdoors (“A lot of trouble he had was indoors,” Ray says). Worship includes music, prayers and a sermon and is the third drive-in church he’s established.
