Janet Magee is passionate about empowering churches to lead in the fight against child abuse and has pioneered collaborations between churches and state agencies to ensure the welfare of abused children. Based in South Texas, Janet and her husband John launched the Blue Sunday Day of Prayer for abused children in 1994. Starting with just 20 churches, this initiative has now grown to include over 17 million participants. ​ Through their local work, they offer vital relief services and programs for abused children and support for those who rescue them in the four counties that make up the Rio Grande Valley of Texas.
