Conscience

To serve well in the church, and shine light on the state, we must know we’ve done right to maintain a vibrant witness.

Thanks to a new rule from the Health and Human Services department, health care workers now have the right to refuse certain kinds of care to patients if the care such as abortions and gender reassignment surgery, if such care goes against their religious beliefs.

Today, we rarely hear any reference to the conscience. Yet throughout church history, the best Christian thinkers spoke about the conscience regularly.
