Liberty University, founded in 1971, is one of the largest private, nonprofit universities in the nation, and the largest university in Virginia. Located in Lynchburg, Virginia, Liberty offers more than 700 unique programs of study from the certificate to the doctoral level. Over 600 programs are offered online. Liberty University Board of Trustees Appoints Chancellor and President

During the spring meeting of the Board of Trustees of Liberty University, the trustees unanimously appointed Maj. Gen. (Ret.) Dondi E. Costin, Ph.D., the sixth president of the University and Pastor Jonathan Falwell the third chancellor of the University.
