If we’re not intentional, the world will shape them instead. As a father, I’ve seen how much children can absorb from their environment. This reality challenges me to ensure my boys are consuming content, values and experiences that align with God’s truth.
The Call to Action
We must recognize that children are not just recipients of ministry—they are participants in it. They are arrows in the hand of a warrior, ready to be sent out into the world.
Let’s expose them to missions, equip them with the gospel, encourage missional living in our homes and empower them to step into God’s calling. When we do this, we’re not just raising children—we’re raising disciples who will go out and make disciples.
Let’s embrace the opportunity to minister through our kids, not just to them. Jesus said, “Let the children come to me.” And when they do, let’s celebrate the incredible ways God uses them to build his kingdom.
