“I mean, you know, I’m being a little cute,” said Trump. “I don’t think there’s anything [that’s] gonna get me into heaven, okay? I really don’t. I think I’m not, maybe, heaven bound.”
“I may be in heaven right now as we fly on Air Force One,” he added. “I’m not sure I’m gonna be able to make it to heaven. But I’ve made life a lot better for a lot of people.”
The president’s comments come amid sustained pressure from a broad coalition to release the so-called “Epstein files,” a cache of documents held by the FBI regarding Jeffrey Epstein, the now-deceased financier accused of coordinating a child sex trafficking ring involving celebrities and politicians.
Trump has referred to the scandal as a “Democrat hoax.”
Nevertheless, Trump’s personal associations to Epstein have been a continued focal point of the conversation. While Trump has repeatedly downplayed his relationship with Epstein, the recent revelation of a cryptic birthday message Trump allegedly sent to Epstein has many wondering what Trump meant when he reportedly wrote to Epstein, “May every day be another wonderful secret.”
Trump has said the letter is “a dead issue.”

On Monday, Trump addressed Israeli lawmakers in Jerusalem following a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas that went into effect on Friday.
The Trump administration helped to broker the peace agreement. As part of the agreement, Hamas has released all of the remaining living hostages.
“The long and painful nightmare is finally over,” Trump told the Knesset.
