Daddy Yankee explained that he “respects [Bad Bunny’s] creative decision, everything that he’s doing right now.”

“I think the biggest touchdown in his career will be when he accepts Jesus in his life,” Daddy Yankee said of Bad Bunny.

Multiple Super Bowl Halftime Shows

While the televised Super Bowl will feature Bad Bunny, other artists and organizations are planning alternative performances.

Turning Point USA (TPUSA), the organization founded and led by the late Charlie Kirk, announced an alternative halftime show. “The All American Halftime Show” is set to celebrate “faith, family, and freedom.”

Christian artists Forrest Frank and Cory Asbury had an “insane idea” to provide an alternative Super Bowl halftime show. Initially, senior director of TPUSA Lucas Miles, posted, “I run TPUSA Faith…let’s talk!”

“What if we did an alternative, family-friendly halftime show for the Super Bowl?” Asbury said in a video on social media. “Every year, everyone is all up in arms about the performer for the halftime show, and I get it because, 9 times out of 10, it’s raunchy as heck.”

It became clear, however, that the visions of Frank, Asbury, and TPUSA were “just incompatible,” said Asbury.

On Nov. 10, Asbury announced that he and Frank would no longer be moving forward with the event.
