After Devastating Fire, Minnesota Church Celebrates Christmas in Borrowed Space

City officials believe that the fire was started by Christmas decorations. The exact cause of the fire is still under investigation. 

On Sunday, the church met at the facility of Christ Lutheran Church across the street. Grace Slavic Church will hold a candlelight Christmas Eve service at nearby Living Word Lutheran Church on Wednesday. 

“It doesn’t matter where we gather. We’ll go to that church. The fire station said we could meet there,” said Nicolay Afanasyev. “God’s still gonna go on. We’re still together. Nobody got hurt.”
