“The DRESS issue was dealt with last night at @newbirthmbc,” said Bryant. “Now we must ADDRESS black unemployment, protection for the undocumented, health care for the underserved and access to higher education.”
Karri Turner Bryant Responds to Husband’s Public Defense
Tens of thousands have watched Bryant’s rant in support of his wife and her attire, and thousands have commented with their support—including Karri herself. She was invited to give the invocation at the 2025 UNCF Mayor’s Masked Ball in Atlanta.
“I Love You Baby! Thank you! Not just for me, but for every woman who has experienced what I continue to walk through,” Karri said, according to People. “Your words have been like a healing salve to my heart and your arms like a warm bath. Not a day passes that you don’t affirm who I am and how much you love. YOU ARE HIM! Thank you for always covering me.”
Karri posted about the event that night. “My honey and I had a blast last night doing what we both love, celebrating and giving back to HBCUs! Nobody does this better than @uncfatlanta,” Karri said.
“Baby I couldn’t breathe lol but the dress and I made it through,” she said.
The Bryants continue to support the UNCF and are “thrilled to be a part of it.”
