“My dad is a professional software developer who had recently retired and begun working as an independent contractor,” wrote Cotrill’s daughter, Netty Cotrill Yamanaka, in a post to the group on Oct. 17. “It was in the process of research that his system was targeted by unforeseen malware and flagged by government agencies.”
“Anyone who knows Dad knows him for his unwavering friendship and kindness. He has been a friend to so many, a loving husband to my mom, and a wonderful dad to his children,” Yamanaka continued. “He has many loved ones that claim him as family, and his service to all churches he has participated in, as well as his professional service and work experience, prove him to be the man of integrity and love that we know he is.”
