However, Corey’s condition worsened after two days, and he was placed on dialysis and antibiotics to combat kidney and lung failure. He passed away several days later.

A Meal Train has been established for the family, and $11,443 has been donated for Corey’s medical and funeral expenses.

The family has also asked that loved ones consider making a donation to the apologetics organization Answers in Genesis in Corey’s honor.

A funeral service for Corey will be held at Calvary Road Baptist Church on Saturday. Feb. 16.
