Around the same time, Hinds was also removed from the Citywide Clergy Collective, an initiative launched by Mayor Eric Adams earlier this year to address gun violence.

“The allegations against Pastor Hinds are heinous and deeply disturbing, which is why he was immediately removed from the Citywide Clergy Collective and God Squad as soon as they came to light,” a City Hall spokesperson said in a statement. “We will continue to work with local clergy and community groups to stop violence before it happens on our streets.”

The charges against Hinds include two counts of third degree criminal sexual acts, two counts of sexual misconduct, one count of forcible touching, one count third degree sexual abuse, and one count endangering the welfare of a child.
