After Trump signed the order, a number of Christian leaders and influencers took to social media to express their appreciation.

Clint Pressley, the current president of the Southern Baptist Convention, said, “I hate that it was necessary but thank God it’s done!”

“Sanity,” said Daniel Darling, director of the Land Center for Cultural Engagement at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.

“Well Done Mr. President,” said former Vice President Mike Pence. “Men have No Place in Women’s Sports. Thank you, @Riley_Gaines_ and everyone who won this victory for our daughters, granddaughters and common sense.”

“This is EVERYTHING,” Gaines said in a post featuring a video of Trump signing the order. “THIS is why we fight.”

“MY President!” said actor Rob Schneider. “The women of our great Nation are grateful that the insane ideology that allowed Narcissistic Failed Male Athletes to Invade Girl’s Sports, Lorckerrooms [sic] and bathrooms IS OVER!! God Bless President Trump!”

“Men have NO place in women’s sports. President Trump’s Executive Order puts an end to the unfair and dangerous practice of allowing biological men to compete against women,” said House Speaker Mike Johnson, who is also a Southern Baptist. “Common sense is back in the White House!”

Evangelist Franklin Graham said, “We welcome common sense back to the White House! Thank you President Trump for protecting women and girls across this country.”
