Additionally, Elliott is accused of defrauding another church, identified as “Church B,” of $23,300.

Elliott unsuccessfully ran for the San Bernardino city council in 2022. His candidacy was controversial, as it became publicly known that he allegedly bilked a parishioner of more than $100,000 while he was pastoring a church in Los Angeles.

In 2014, a judge ordered Elliott to pay $75,166 to the victim. According to the victim, Elliott has made no attempt to make any payments on the judgement.

If convicted of the crimes of which he is currently accused, Elliott faces a maximum sentence of 20 years in federal prison for each count.
