“Because installation makes it seem like I came for a job, and I didn’t,” Floyd added. “I came to join a mission. I came to join hands and lock arms with a group of people that are committed to seeing the gospel advance in this community, in the nation, and around the world.”
“I understand the weight of this moment and the sacredness of this moment,” Floyd said. “And today, we turn the page on a new chapter of Gateway Church. And it’s not that we’re erasing other chapters, because God has been working already at Gateway Church for 25 years.”
“And the story of Gateway Church is your story, because great churches are about great people,” Floyd went on to say. “And it’s your story. It’s the prayers you’ve prayed and the miracles you’ve seen.”

“I just believe that in the days to come, we’re going to continue to see the faithfulness of God,” said Floyd. “That he who began the good work in you and in this church will complete the good work.”
