Roe vs Wade

Progressive Christian author Jen Hatmaker believes the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade will set the stage for undoing all civil liberties. Hatmaker expressed her views in a post on June 24, the day the Supreme Court overturned the 1973 ruling.

The reversal of the Roe v. Wade decision will be cause for celebration if it occurs, but it will not change the fact that the church must compassionately reach abortion-minded women.

Uproar about the leaked Supreme Court draft opinion escalated this weekend, with pro-abortion protests throughout the country—including during Catholic Mass.

The Supreme Court of the United States has agreed to hear a Mississippi abortion case that could set the Court up to challenge its previous landmark decisions in Roe v. Wade and Planned Parenthood vs. Casey. 

The state of Louisiana has passed an amendment to its constitution, sponsored by State Sen. Katrina Jackson, explicitly saying it does not support any inherent right to or funding for abortion.
