For 42 years Pastor Rick Warren has served as the lead pastor of Saddleback Church, this weekend he announced to all their locations that the church elders will begin searching for a his successor.

Saddleback Church has appointed its first female pastors, despite being affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention, which specifically prohibits women from being ordained. 

Never underestimate the faithfulness of God. Before Saddleback moved to its present location, we bought a big chunk of land. While I thought at the time it was a dream come true, it turned out there were giants in the land. But what God starts, He finishes.
