Dr. Timothy Keller, the founding pastor of Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Manhattan, died at the age of 72 the morning of May 19 after a battle with pancreatic cancer.

Dr. Tim Keller has been discharged from the hospital and will now receive hospice care at home. His son, Michael Keller, posted the news on Twitter Thursday afternoon.

In a recent interview, Tim Keller reflected on his prayer life after his terminal diagnosis, saying that while he often prays for healing, the knowledge that death is certain has actually caused his faith to grow.

On Monday morning (July 18), Tim Keller made a rare personal appearance on Twitter to answer questions posted with the hashtag #asktk by his social media followers. 

After asking for prayer for his father, Tim Keller, earlier this week, Michael Keller has posted an "encouraging update."
