Jeffery Williams, a former Salvation Army youth pastor, has been arrested and charged with sending sexually explicit materials to a minor. Williams turned himself in to police in Fountain, Colorado, on Nov. 10.

Fairview Baptist Church in Greer, South Carolina, says it will conduct a “thorough and comprehensive investigation” into youth pastor Cory Wall’s recent distribution of “I [heart] hot youth pastors” stickers to church youth. Wall has since been placed on administrative leave.

Looking for a good youth pastor can be difficult. It helps to have a great youth pastor job description. Trust me, I know. Not only have I served as a youth pastor, but I have also now hired several youth pastors in my various senior-level roles. 

Jeffrey Bedwell, a former pastor at a Southern Baptist Convention megachurch, has been accused of grooming and molesting a girl from 2013 to 2018, starting when the victim was 12 and continuing until she was 17.

The silence is a reminder of how much I miss the teens and adults who make up the ministry I oversee. I never thought I would miss waiting with a teen for their parent to pick them up. I miss it, and it’s been hard.
