Life Happens

I want to do an update post that our big giveaway of FIVE of Jim Wideman & friends’ new book (see this post) will happen next week (8/29-9/2) instead of this week.

Why? Basically because sometimes, life happens.

There’s been a number of distractions this past week here at KidMin360. Some ministry related, some personally related. Some good and some not so good.

Welcome to life, right? It happens to all of us sometimes, and I’ve learned that sometimes, regardless of well intentioned plans, having the flexibility to “go with the flow” is the best approach.

Life happens.

We’re getting caught up and will be back on track soon, including the announcement of a new job search via KidMinJobs and some other exciting things going on.

Before we do that, though, I want to ask for your prayers for a college buddy of mine. His name is Dave and he’s about my age (just a young guy!) and he had a very serious cardiac arrest in the middle of one night last week. First indications were that he’d have a 10-12% chance of surviving. If that happened, who knew what condition he’d be in – serious brain damage was more likely than not.

Well, to this point our God has wonderfully blessed Dave & his family. He is off the breathing system, beginning to communicate and we are all praying that he’ll be out of ICU within the next week or so. A true miracle! He’s got such a long way to go and his life may or may not ever be “normal” again. But God has His plan for Dave, his wife and his young kids. Thank you for praying for them all!

And again, we’ll be back on track soon. In the meantime, life happens.
