Joel and Ben Smallbone, founding members of the band for KING & COUNTRY have lent their creative talent to a new feature film called “Priceless.” Joel was the lead actor in the movie, while Ben served as a director. More Smallbone brothers—Luke and David—were also involved as executive producers for the film. You could say it’s a family affair. The film is set to release in theaters October 14th.

The script (which was inspired by true events) tells the story James Stevens, who recently lost the two most important relationships in his life—his wife to death and his daughter to a custody battle. Things spiral out of control for him to the point where he can’t seem to hold down a steady job. In desperation, he agrees to drive a truck cross country for cash, with the understanding he is not to ask any questions. Along the way, though, he learns his “cargo” is too priceless to sell, and his struggle to protect the weak and vulnerable.

This was a story the Smallbone brothers felt they had to tell, “Part of the DNA of for KING & COUNTRY is this idea of respect and honor in relationships and women being priceless,” Joel Smallbone said. “What we’ve found in our beliefs as men is that people are made equal. The film continues the idea that no one is a commodity and everyone deserves to be loved and loved well.”

This is the first film the Smallbone brothers have made, and excitement is already building. The band for KING & COUNTRY will be embarking on a Priceless Tour in the fall of 2016. This will be the band’s biggest tour to date.
