Nick Vujicic was born without arms and legs, but he doesn’t let that hold him back from fulfilling his purpose in life, which, he believes, is to inspire and encourage people to be all that they can be.

In this video, compiled by Evan Carmichael, we are given Vujicic’s top 10 rules for success, which were pulled from clips of him speaking around the world. Coming from someone who has had a lot to overcome simply to function as a productive member of society, Vujicic’s advice is particularly helpful for those who have ever struggled with worth, identity or hardship. In other words…everyone.

A quick recap of Vujicic’s 10 rules are listed below, but you’ll want to watch the video as he explains each principle in greater detail, using example from his own experience. One of the best lines in the video is, “The definition of a disability is something that will hinder you from doing something… The greatest disability is not having no arms, no legs. The greatest disability is your mind.”

Vujicic has an amazing ability to relate to the crowd. At one particularly candid moment as he’s addressing a group of teenagers, he admits he doesn’t know what it feels like to have an eating disorder or to live in a broken home. But, more importantly, “I know how it feels to have a broken heart. I know how it feels to be alone.”
