“Thank you to God for protecting us all,” said Griffin.
“In times of chaos, you find out who has your back and who really cares about you,” Griffin said. “Thank you guys for all the prayers and well wishes. You guys are the best.”
More than a million people have seen Griffin’s post and a thousand commented—mostly with gratitude and prayers for the former NFL player.
“You have a beautiful family and a solid testimony!” said one fan. “Keep standing tall and stepping forward! You’re doing it right!”
“God bless you, your family, and all affected by the accident,” another commented. “Praise God that everyone walked away.”
Robert Griffin III Remains Connected to Football Off the Field
Since the end of his incredible NFL career, Griffin has remained as close as possible to football as an analyst. His contract with ESPN in 2021 allowed for the possibility of signing with a team if the opportunity came up. Griffin also launched his own podcast series on YouTube, “RG3 and The Ones,” where he interviews NFL players and staff.
He’s not the only retired NFL player who’s outspoken about his faith. After playing for the Indianapolis Colts and the Carolina Panthers, Dr. Derwin Gray now pastors a Transformation Church in South Carolina. And, after five years in the NFL, Jack Brewer now navigates and advocates for social justice issues and calls for the “church to rise up.”
