Johnson went on to refer to Mamdani as “a committed Marxist” whose policies “will surely make life unlivable for millions of New Yorkers who cannot afford to flee the city.”

Other Christian leaders posted online with their dismay about Mamdani being elected.

“When Rome fell to the Visigoths in 410AD Jerome said, ‘The city which had taken the whole world was itself taken,’” said Florida Pastor Tom Ascol. “I feel something similar to this at the election of Mamdani. Yet, “The counsel of the Lord stands forever, the plans of his heart to all generations.”—Psalm 33:11.”

Author and Texas Pastor Jack Graham said, “Mamdani’s election as mayor of NYC is a preview of things to come in America unless we awaken to the Islamic intent and the ideology of the woke left.”

Writer and podcaster Virgil Walker posted an image of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks in New York. Across the image was written, “2025: elects Muslim Jihadist.”

“My not-very-bold prediction,” said author and podcaster Mike Cosper, “is that the Mamdani era will not result in a more affordable New York, will result in a less safe New York (due to progressive prosecutor ideas) and will only result in lower rents if he succeeds in driving people out of the city with his absolutely awful policy agenda.”

J.D. Hall, founder of polemical site Protestia and former Montana pastor, said, “[Last] night, Mamdani got roughly TEN TIMES more Jewish votes than the Republican mayoral candidate who does *not* want to annihilate Israel.”

“Although Mamdani received fewer Jewish votes than a Democrat usually does (upwards of 90% some years), he could not have become the mayor of NYC without maintaining sizable support in the Jewish voting block (sic),” continued Hall. “Despite support for the Intifada and pro-Hamas posturing, and refusing to [acknowledge] Israel’s right to exist, his support from several prominent Jewish votes never wavered.”

“Apparently, no one informed them of their ‘Judeo-Christian values,’ and the *other* socialist, pro-abortion, pro-gay candidate, Andrew Cuomo (who [does] NOT want to push Israel into the sea), just wasn’t evil enough for them,” Hall added. “Sometimes it appears that Jews are the people least interested in Israel’s survival, if it means being the slightest bit less wicked.”

A number of political analysts have pointed out that the vast majority of female voters ages 19-29 cast their ballot for Mamdani, leading some to theorize why.
