Man Commits to Stand Guard Outside Church Where ‘Church Mother’ Was Murdered Inside

Lee told WBFF News that Player was his “church mother” and said that “anything that you needed, Ms. Player was that. If you needed her to put her foot in your behind she could do that for you, but most of the time she wouldn’t do that. She would talk to you, love on you, and let you know that it was going to be alright.”

“I can’t and won’t sit back and let this happen to anybody else in this church,” Lee said.

So Lee is committing to wait outside of the church, in order to make sure that the women working inside make it home safely every night. Lee says this duty is therapeutic for him in the wake of Player’s death.

“I’m going to do this every day. That’s helping me. That’s therapy for me, ‘cause it hurt when this happened to Ms. Player. It hurt,’ Lee said.

Maryland Governor Hogan has issued a $100,000 reward for any information that could lead to the arrest of whoever is responsible for Player’s murder.
