Amid America-Bashing by Celebs, Candace Cameron Bure Posts About Patriotism

Pop-star Madonna posted a video of a woman being violently dragged by guards, writing: “This is what life looks like if you’re a woman in America. It’s not Independence Day for us. Let’s start a revolution!”

During concerts, singer Billie Eilish has been vocal about her displeasure with the SCOTUS ruling. Her brother and producer Finneas tweeted: “4th of July is my favorite day of the year. Not sure if there’s anything worth celebrating this year though.”

Other Hollywood figures who posted anti-American sentiments for the holiday include Kim Kardashian, Katy Perry, Jessica Chastain, and Bette Midler.

President Biden: Signs Point to America ‘Moving Backward’

In a July 4 speech, President Biden said, “Liberty is under assault,” indicating “this country is moving backward” and “freedom has been reduced.” On her Fox News show “Outnumbered,” former White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany took Hollywood—and Biden—to task for a lack of patriotism.

“I can’t with these celebrities, and I can’t with our president who echoed these celebrities,” McEnany told her co-hosts. “You expect a different tone from the president. You don’t expect America has come up short. I mean, who word-smithed that beauty?”

She contrasted Biden’s words to those of her “old boss,” President Trump, “who said every American patriot should be filled with joy because you live in the most magnificent country in the history of the world, and it will soon be greater than ever before. That’s what I want to hear from the celebrities and certainly from our president.”
