At one point, Ramsey exclaims, “God, this is aggravating!” He calls the student-loan industry “so predatory,” saying 18-year-olds “can’t buy beer, but you can go $100,000 in debt. It’s just dumber than crap!”
Critics question whether Ramsey has people’s “best financial interest in mind” if he’s discouraging them from accepting relief. After one Twitter user noted that Ramsey is doing “not great” this week, someone commented: “Nothing irks him more than Joe Biden getting people to jump up and down for joy and scream ‘I’m debt free!’ That’s Dave’s job.”
