Jenkins credits a Teen Challenge program in Washington state with helping him turn his life around—and introducing him to Jesus. “I learned that the real problem was not drugs and alcohol,” he said. “The real problem is sin, and the only cure for sin is Jesus Christ.”
The path toward healing wasn’t necessarily straight or easy, admitted Jenkins. But hearing about God’s unconditional love and forgiveness turned around his life. Since then, the pastor has been determined to make a difference for other people caught in addiction. “I’ve been through it, and I know where to help them find the answer,” he said.
