LFO — The Band

LFO’s band website credits its success and unique sound to its incredible musicians. After chart-topping hits including “Summer Girls” (1999) and “Girl on TV” (2001), the band released its second album entitled, “Life Is Good.” Writing, recording, and touring took its toll, and the band took a break in 2002.

In 2005, while still on hiatus, Cronin was diagnosed with leukemia. Even though Cronin was continuing to battle the disease, LFO launched a reunion tour in 2009. “It was short, but perhaps the closest we have ever been as a group,” LFO’s site says. “We realized the deep love and respect we had for each other and our bond was fortified. Shortly after the tour in 2010, Cronin lost his battle with cancer.”

LFO continued playing together in 2017 with just two original band members, Fischetti and Lima. The Rich in Love tour was successful in many ways, but just two months after the tour, Lima was diagnosed with adrenal cancer. He died within a year.

The band’s website includes a tribute page packed with photos and memories of Cronin and Lima. At the top of the page, a definition of “tribute” is displayed: “An act intended to show gratitude, respect, or admiration.”

“I will continue to keep Rich and Devin’s legacy alive and introduce a new generation to the LFO sound,” stated the lone band member, Fischetti.
