During the past 30 years of crusades, Laurie said, he has spoken to more than 5 million people, and about 500,000 have made a profession of faith. “We keep preaching to the next young generation,” he said, “because people are searching for answers today in our culture.”
McEnany concluded by recalling words from Laurie that have always stuck with her. “You’re constantly pointing back to him,” she said, referring to Jesus. “And that’s what I try to do in my own life.”
