“I believe that God has gifted me and put me in position to be a teacher. So to instruct, to exhort, to train,” said Perry, “but also to be a witness, where even if you don’t respond to the truth that’s communicated, when you reach Judgment you can’t say you didn’t hear about [the gospel].”

As for her future, Perry said she and her husband, Preston Perry, are launching a nonprofit to help “cultivate the next generation of disciples.” Although they’ll still partner with other ministries, Perry said she looks forward to eliminating some middlemen and creating “resources that don’t have other people’s fingerprints.”
The mother of four admitted she misses making music, saying it’s frustrating not to have time for everything she’d like to do. But she feels like “I’m being kept from doing it in obedience to God and my family” right now.
