God Provided Backup Transportation After Two Church Vans Burned
A youth team from Philadelphia Baptist church was planning to leave on a missions trip the day after the church’s two vans were burned.
Without vans for the missions trip and a kids’ camp later in the month, the church quickly posted about the transportation need on its Facebook page. “Due to unforeseen circumstances, our high school and young adult Kentucky mission team is needing to use two vans for Friday July 5-13.”
This isn’t the first year that the church has sent a youth missions team to Kentucky. The team this year was headed to Kentucky to spend a week “serving, teaching, and evangelizing to bring the gospel to those who might not know Jesus.”
Later that same day, the post was updated with joyful news: “Some of our Kentucky Team are headed to pick up two vans today! To God be the glory!”
While many commented with prayers and encouragement for the church, some voiced questions about the intent behind the arson. The church added, “Our number one goal as a community and church is to show the love of Jesus, and that is what we will do!”
