“It is important,” she said. “And this film that lays out Reagan’s life and his work and how he took it as his mission to communicate to people and to remind them regularly that we don’t pass freedom along in the bloodstream—it is not a guarantee.”

“Every single generation has to fight for it, has to protect it, and then has to pass it on to the next generation,” she added.

Blackburn said that the film is very “timely” and that “we should pass [freedom] along stronger, and we should pass it along making certain we’ve preserved all those freedoms.”
