While recovering in 2021, Sellars told KLTV that God had a plan for him. “The Lord wasn’t through with me yet. He blessed me with…a little bit of life here that maybe we can use that as a testimony,” Sellars said. “I’m sure [God] fielded those bullets and kept them from hitting anything so vital that I didn’t make it.”

In her impact statement this week, Rosemary McWilliams said, “Every plan that Mark and I had for the future was suddenly wiped clean.” To the defendant, she said, “I suggest, Mr. Woolen, that you take advantage of everything you can in prison with church and learn about your Creator. Just as you received justice today, one day you will face him. I ask the Lord to bless you.”
