Lecrae, like many parents, recognized that the most important aspect of parenting was truly in God’s hands.

“I’d sit at breakfast reading the Bible, sharing the gospel, and pointing her to Him, knowing I can’t change my baby girl’s heart—only God can,” he said. “All I could do was serve, pray, and trust in His timing. And He’s faithful!!!”

Lecrae posted clips of the baptism Sunday, focusing on Amaya, her decision, and her smile.

“I’m beyond grateful because my Heavenly Father is far greater than I could ever be,” he shared. “I LOVE YOU Maya! Thank you Jesus!”

Lecrae Says He’ll Be Back to Making Music in 2025

For the past several years, Lecrae has gone through a deconstruction of his own faith. “Deconstruction isn’t a bad thing if it leads to reconstruction,” he said. And, now, the rapper has continued his process of “reconstructing,” he shared in a recent social media post.

After recording nearly a dozen albums, Lecrae said he’s “not done making music.” His last album, “No Church in a While,” was released in 2021, and fans are clamoring for more of his music.

“I’m not done making music—I’ve been reconstructing,” he said.

The artist has been focusing on what he sees as important in his life and reprioritizing many aspects of his faith, marriage, family, and career. Lecrae continues to “rediscover a GLOBAL faith” as he chooses to be present and show up for the years that matter.

“These last few years have been our best yet (and yes, she’s still fine 😊),” Lecrae said of his wife.

Through his podcast, “The Deep End With Lecrae,” he has entered into vulnerable and honest conversations with those “trying to pick up the pieces”—including a former OnlyFans star, controversial Christian artists, and his mom.

“The podcast, the label, the consulting, have realigned my vision and purpose,” said Lecrae. He’s working towards “maximizing earnings to maximize giving.”

Lecrae’s big plans for 2025 include new music and a new tour. “2025, I’m back outside,” he said. “Let’s go!”
