Kelly Clinger, an abuse survivor who was previously a musician at IHOPKC, posted that while reading the report, she was “sobbing by page 9.” She added, “I have one thing to say before I put my phone away for the night & process everything I read – Mike Bickle, David Sliker, Stuart Greaves & Lenny LaGuardia should all go to jail. Full stop.”

Ron Cantor, a victim advocate who was removed from and then reinstated to Tikkun’s senior advisory team, posted that he was “heartbroken” for the survivors, “disgusted” by the perpetrators and their enablers, and grateful for people who funded, conducted, and reported on the investigation.

Cantor added:

I exhort the present board of IHOPKC to take these things seriously. I understand that it will be at great cost. You will lose funding. But you will gain Jesus. Don’t let outside influencers, friends of Mike Bickle, intimidate you with money. I just believe with all my heart that if you do the right thing, Jesus will back you up. Go back to your original stand: permanent separation for Mike Bickle.

Advocate Group: Report ‘Could Not Fully Capture the Breadth of Wrongdoing’

The Advocate Group, which includes 16 former IHOPKC leaders who pressed the ministry’s executive team to take allegations against Bickle seriously, also responded to the report. It stated, in part:

For so long, those seeking truth and accountability were met with obfuscation, denial, and delay. Now, with this report, many survivors and advocates receive a sorrowful validation of their experiences. While words on a page cannot undo the pain and injustice suffered, we hope this acknowledgment affirms that these individuals have been heard, their experiences are believed, and they are deeply valued and loved.

The Advocate Group also cited “limitations” of the report, saying it “could not fully capture the breadth of wrongdoing.” Especially concerning, the group added, are “reports of financial inducements used to silence victims, the misuse of prophetic narratives as misdirection, and the many untold stories of harm.”

The group also pointed to “factual inaccuracies and some fairly large omissions of wrongdoing, which have caused a number of individuals pain.” It said it hopes that Tikkun will address these issues and that “IHOPKC’s current leadership will engage with these revelations with humility and a commitment to necessary change.”

The Advocate Group concluded, “Ultimately, we are grateful that this report has been released, and we hope it serves as a step toward healing and justice.”
