The freeze of federal foreign aid funds caused great challenges for many ministries and nonprofits—including World Vision, which counted on nearly 45% of its annual income to come from federal grants. Samaritan’s Purse, however, relied on federal funds for around 4% of its annual income.

Franklin Graham Continues To Offer Trump Prayer and Support
Samaritan’s Purse President and CEO Franklin Graham has publicly supported President Trump’s election campaigns, policies, and presidencies since 2016. Graham was invited to pray over the president and the nation during Trump’s inauguration.
Graham also spoke with Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy following the heated meeting between Zelenskyy and President Trump. “I urged him to call for a national day of prayer at this critical time,” Graham said, encouraging the same for the “people of Russia and around the world.”
In February, Graham was present at the formation of the White House Faith Office. Graham posted his sentiments alongside a photograph of several gathered for prayer around the president.
“Thank you, President Donald J. Trump, for establishing the White House Faith Office,” Graham said. “It was a privilege to be there for the opening yesterday and to pray for our president and this nation.”
