“You have the origin story of David, the ascent and rise of this character. You have this middle portion, which is like Robin Hood, as this character is being chased around by King Saul,” Erwin said. “And then you have the great reign of King David, which is full of accomplishments and tragedy and everything in between.”
“You put all three of those together and it really is an odyssey,” Erwin argued.
Erwin shared that he hopes to complete all six seasons of his David series. “I would love nothing more to be able to tell the whole story of David. That would be incredible,” he said.
