California Pastor Greg Laurie also participated, later describing the “memorable night” on social media. “President Trump was incredibly generous with his time, spending over three hours with us,” Laurie posted. “He shared some powerful words about the importance of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ—and the hope we have because of it.”
Faith leaders received a tour of the White House family quarters, as well as the historic Lincoln Bedroom. “What an honor to be part of it,” Laurie said of the event.
On Monday (April 21), children will participate in the annual White House Easter Egg Roll, for which the American Egg Board is donating 30,000 eggs. Despite shortages and high prices for the grocery staple, President Trump rejected the suggestion of using plastic eggs.
