“What I like about when people come to my shows is that it’s children to grandparents are at these shows,” said Bargatze. “They’re able to go do something as a family.”

“God has a path, and I’m just here to follow the path, so I just kind of wait and see where the doors open,” said Bargatze during an interview on the “Funjelah” podcast.

He referred to other comics who have specific, targeted audiences and aren’t for everybody.

“I want to be for everybody,” said Bargatze. “I want them to be able to trust and keep coming and see that I’m trying to do something I think that’s a little against the grain right now.”

Bargatze continues to remind himself that his career isn’t about him. While he’s experienced incredible popularity over the past several years, he intentionally remains humble in the process.

“Yeah, I’m grateful to be a vessel for what I’m doing…the one thing I try to remind myself right before I go on stage every time is this is not about me,” he said. “So when I go out there, it has nothing to do with me. This night’s not about me, even though it looks like it’s only about me.”

Bargatze told of his visions for the future, saying, “I don’t plan on touring forever and doing stand-up forever.” He recognizes that eventually he’ll “need to step aside and let the next wave of comedians come up.”

“I want to make movies,” said Bargatze. His first movie, “The Breadwinner,” is scheduled for release in 2026. Bargatze and Dan Lagana serve as writers, and Bargatze is expected to star in the film. A plot summary hasn’t yet been released.

“It can’t be about me,” Bargatze said. “If it was about me, I wouldn’t be able to handle it. That’s why I can handle it, because it’s not about me…what I believe, it’s on God.”
