“America needs God. And it starts with prayer,” said Laurie.

Tony Perkins, president of Family Research Council, wrote, “There is power in united prayer. On this National Day of Prayer, I encourage you to pray with family, friends, co-workers, and/or neighbors.”

“May we collectively seek the Lord’s face in repentance and gratitude, thankful for what God has done and hopeful for a renewal that only He can provide,” said Perkins.

Christian philanthropist and former football star Tim Tebow posted, “Psalm 3:4 says, I call out to the LORD, and he answers me from his holy mountain.’ This is what the National Day of Prayer is all about. Coming together before the throne of our loving Father to seek His will for ourselves, our neighbors, and our nation.”

Join me today in humbly going before the throne of grace, which we can do because of one person—a person who is also God: King Jesus,” Tebow added.
