In response to Pence receiving the Profiles in Courage Award, Trump supporter Eric Metaxas referenced Judas, posting on X, “FACT: the award was made from 30 pieces of real silver!” In reply, someone asked Metaxas, “Because trump is Jesus to you?”

Below Pence’s post about receiving the annual award, someone commented, “They spelled coward wrong…”

The Profiles in Courage Award is named for JFK’s 1957 book “Profiles in Courage,” which won the Pulitzer Prize. Jack Schlossberg, JFK’s grandson, introduced Pence Sunday night by saying the former VP “saved America.”

Advancing American Freedom, Pence’s political action group, opposed the nomination of Robert F. Kennedy Jr., nephew of JFK, to serve as secretary of Health and Human Services.
