President Donald Trump, Biden’s longtime political opponent, wrote, “Melania and I are saddened to hear about Joe Biden’s recent medical diagnosis. We extend our warmest and best wishes to Jill and the family, and we wish Joe a fast and successful recovery.”
To Biden, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney wrote, “You’ve always had a deep commitment to family and faith, and I’m hopeful that both will carry you through this.”
Former President Barack Obama praised Biden, his vice president, for working to fight cancer and for facing adversity “with his trademark resolve and grace.”
Other Leaders Are Silent, While Some Suspect Scandal
As of midday Monday, White House Faith Office head Paula White hasn’t posted anything about Biden’s diagnosis. Neither has Franklin Graham—though he did request prayers for Monday’s meeting between Trump and the leaders of Ukraine and Russia.
Allie Beth Stuckey, author of “Toxic Empathy,” posted, “Pray that Joe Biden would know Christ before his time comes.” Below that, someone commented, “Nope. The same way David didn’t pray for Goliath. Know who to pray for and who’s an enemy of God without redemption.”
Some people questioned the competency of Biden’s White House medical team, while others speculated that Democrats knew about the cancer last year. Gary Bauer, president of American Values and a Trump appointee at the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom, wrote that Democrats “should pay a price for the biggest scandal in modern memory!”
William Wolfe, founder and executive director of the Center for Baptist Leadership, posted, “Trump’s willingness to run again even after everything went through after leaving office (and God’s grace) spared America from the dark fate planned by the puppet masters running the fake Biden presidency. We really are on the good timeline Let’s make the most of it.”
Donald Trump Jr., the president’s eldest son, took aim at the Bidens, writing, “What I want to know is how did Dr. Jill Biden miss stage five metastatic cancer or is this yet another coverup???” Jill Biden’s doctoral degree is in education, not medicine.
In the new book “Original Sin,” journalists Jake Tapper and Alex Thompson write about “President Biden’s decline, its cover-up, and his disastrous choice to run again.” Before dropping out of the 2024 race, Biden had repeatedly rejected claims of diminished capacity.
