“ Truthfully, that’s the only reason we meet,” Pressley said. “Ultimately, what our business is, is advancing the kingdom of God, advancing the gospel, sending missionaries and building the kingdom.”

“ Let us then, as a convention, hold fast to the confession of faith we have. Let’s be true in a robust love for the Baptist Faith & Message,” urged Pressley. “Also, let us hold fast to cooperating together for the mission of the gospel.”

“Let us keep pushing hard for doctrinal faithfulness. Let us keep pushing for gospel centrality,” said Pressley. “ Let us keep pushing toward missions and evangelism and planting churches. Let us keep believing that it is good to be a Southern Baptist.”
