As he continued to proclaim the gospel, Stier said:
On Judgment Day, in the blazing light of God’s perfect holiness, every “white” lie, every lustful thought, every jealous intention, every bitter hatred, every slanderous word, every greedy motive, every fit of anger and every single sin….will come to full light before God’s awesome throne in a millisecond (Revelation 20:11-15). The consequence for all these sins committed will be eternity in hell, suffering God’s wrath forever and ever. That’s what every sinner deserves. That’s what I deserve. That’s why I’m SO thankful that Jesus paid the price for all my sin (past, present and future) on the cross. He suffered in my place for my many transgressions (Isaiah 53.) He took my sin and exchanged it for his righteousness (2 Corinthians 5:21). I’m SO grateful that I won’t have to run and hide on Judgment Day, not because I am good, but because of Christ’s finished work on the cross. Through faith in him I am declared righteous in spite of my sins (Romans 4:5). Trust in Jesus to save you right now. Receive the free gift of eternal life through faith alone in Christ (John 3:16).
Stier encouraged his readers to place their trust in Jesus “now, before the spotlight of God’s holiness shines on your sin on Judgment Day, because then it will be too late to do anything about it.” He concluded by citing 1 Corinthians 4:5.
