Brady Boyd: ‘I Have Lived an Imperfect But Honest Life’
Since resigning from New Life, Brady Boyd has been posting Bible verses about integrity and unity. A recent image is captioned, “Don’t be afraid to start all over again. You may like your new story better.”
In a Facebook post on Tuesday (July 22), Boyd opened up about the challenges of the past few weeks. They’ve been “especially difficult because I was accused of hiding something,” he wrote. “For over 35 years, I have lived open before the Lord, guarding my character from corruption. I have lived an imperfect but honest life.”
Scriptures such as Psalm 139:1-2, 23-24 have long served as “guardrails” for Boyd. He encouraged people to “pray these Scriptures out loud over your home, your heart, your marriage, and your children.”

Sharing that he was “a mess” when he began following Jesus in 1988, Boyd said he realized that only God could sanctify him. Praying from Scripture gives God “permission to help us,” the pastor added. “They open the doors of our hearts and minds to allow the wind of the Holy Spirit to come rushing through.”
