Mark Calaway, better known to WWE fans as The Undertaker, shared, “The wrestling world has lost a true legend. His contributions to our business are immeasurable and for that I am appreciative. Thank you, Hulk Hogan.” During The Undertaker’s WWE Hall of Fame induction ceremony in 2022, Calaway credited his wife for helping restore his relationship with Jesus.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis said, “Sad to hear that Hulk Hogan has passed away. The Hulkster was an icon for so many of us who grew up in the 80s and 90s, and he was a Floridian through and through. RIP, Brother.”
Devout Christian and retired WWE wrestler Kurt Angle posted, “R.I.P Hulkster, thank you for opening up doors for so many people in the business including myself. There would not be a Kurt Angle, without the American Made, Hulk Hogan. My heart and prayers go out to his family. We lost a real icon today.”
House Speaker Mike Johnson, who is a member of a Southern Baptist Church (SBC), wrote: “We all have fond memories of @HulkHogan. From my childhood in the ‘80s, to campaigning with him last year, I always saw him as a giant in stature and in life. May he rest in peace.”
