According to its website, My Faith Votes is “a non-partisan movement.” However, it is known for aligning almost exclusively with Republican politicians and policy stances in its efforts to combat the influence of “secular progressives.”
Yates has served as the organization’s CEO since its inception in 2015.
According to court documents, the hard drive found in Yates’ office allegedly contained more than 100 files containing still images and videos of pornography involving minors under 14.
Yates has now pleaded guilty to two felony charges. He was originally charged with eight counts.
